The Vedas (meaning “knowledge” in Sanskrit) are a collection of Ancient Hindu texts found in India between 2000 and 1400BCE – Within these pages contains what many beleive to be the first documented text relating to Cannabis.

One of the first to use Cannabis for medical purposes was the Korakkar, one of the 18 Siddhas. Some say it was referred to by many in India as “food of the gods”.

Now Cannabis is widely used among Hindu people during the spring festival of Holi – A celebration of fertility, colour, love and the triumph of good versus evil.
